About  Cullen McKinney

An attorney for over 20 years, Cullen McKinney is a founding member of Tanoury, Nauts, McKinney, and Garbarina, PLLC. At the Detroit law firm, McKinney performs as a litigator who handles defense in civil actions, professional negligence, product liability, and automobile negligence cases. Also skilled in medical malpractice law, he represents hospitals and physicians in various matters, along with giving presentations on issues ranging from patient care to electronic medical records. Cullen McKinney wrote an article for New York Monthly Digest of Tax Articles discussing the tax implications of physician home offices. His achievements earned him the designation of Rising Star in a 2008 edition of Super Lawyers Magazine. 

Prior to starting his legal career, McKinney attended Michigan State University and graduated with distinction with a bachelor of arts in political science. He subsequently enrolled at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. As a student, he belonged to its Law Review as a case and comment editor, in addition to serving as a board member on its Moot Court team. Furthermore, he interned with former Michigan Supreme Court Justice Patricia Boyce.

In his spare time, Cullen McKinney enjoys golf, and he also serves as a flag football coach for youth.
